There’s no better time than now to reopen conversation around some imaginaries and configurations on the landscape of blackness. In “Signifying Black Body,” scholars and practitioners from diverse disciplines will explore how meaning has historically been sculpted upon the imaginary of the black body, with possibilities in multiple layerings of the postmodern body viz-a-viz how blackness is re-imagined both in the global South and in the United States of America.
